Sports

Playing sports is the ideal activity for developing social skills such as respect and fairness. Through repeated and focused physical exercise students learn how to enhance their performance which in turn helps them develop confidence in their own abilities. Everyone has the potential to excel. Our students are open to trying out new sports, are easily inspired and happy when they get feedback on their progress. In our sports classes, we focus on the individual strengths of each student.

Climbing Wall

We are especially thankful for being able to offer not only regular sports classes but also climbing lessons. We are the only school in Palestine to do so, and it was only made possible through a generous donation. In our climbing lessons students can test their own boundaries. Climbing encourages qualities such as endurance, physical strength, concentration, a lot of courage and self-assurance. It is important to feel safe. Climbing is an attractive sport that inspires responsibility for oneself and others as the climber depends on his partner below to competently control the safety ropes and react quickly if necessary. In this way, climbing builds mutual trust.

Soccer and other sports

We participate in a number of competitions in soccer, basketball, and track and field athletics. Ping pong tables on the sports field invite students to play during breaks and in their spare time. We enjoy observing how more and more students bring their rackets and balls from home and use these tables. Teachers from other schools also hold tournaments in our sports hall.
